The Jewel of the Windward Islands
Saint Lucia is a place of contrasts: lush rainforests and volcanic peaks, vibrant culture and serene beaches. It’s a destination that rewards exploration and offers a warm welcome to those who visit. The island is more than a destination, it’s a feeling. A place where natural beauty meets cultural depth, and every day moves to its own rhythm.
Saint Lucia is one of the Caribbean’s most captivating islands—celebrated for its natural beauty, rich culture, and growing reputation for luxury living. From the iconic Pitons to the jazz rhythms of Gros Islet, Saint Lucia is a Caribbean island with soul. It’s lush, dramatic, and alive with colour, offering a rare blend of adventure, serenity, and sophistication.
But beyond the postcard-perfect scenery, Saint Lucia offers real-world advantages for villa owners:
There are two airports, the International Airport at Hewannora (UVF) and the smaller airport at Castries for Island Hopper and helicopter transfers.
- Easily accessible with direct flights from the US, UK, and Canada
- A safe, welcoming island with a strong tourism-based economy
- A stable investment climate with a strongly established legal framework
- English-speaking, with a rich Creole heritage
- World-class diving, hiking, sailing, and cuisine
- Well-established with good infrastructure, roads and medical facilities
Saint Lucia was formerly under British rule and gained independence in 1979. Today, it is governed by a parliamentary democracy, offering political stability, high standards of law and order, and a legal system rooted in British common law.
English is the official language, making Saint Lucia a comfortable and welcoming environment for travellers and property owners from the UK, USA, and Canada. The local currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar, which is pegged to the US Dollar. Both currencies are widely accepted throughout the island, making transactions simple and familiar for international visitors.
A Year-round Tropical Climate

Saint Lucia enjoys a warm, tropical climate, with cooling trade winds and average temperatures between 25°C and 30°C. The island’s lush landscapes and sandy beaches are matched by its consistently pleasant weather, ideal for outdoor living, sailing, and sun-soaked relaxation.
While the Caribbean does experience a hurricane season (typically June to November), Saint Lucia’s southern position in the region means it is very rarely in the direct path of major storms. The island is more often affected by tail winds and rainfall than by the full force of hurricanes, making it one of the more sheltered destinations in the region. Cap Maison Villas are built to high standards to withstand the regions climate, and are protected by hurricane insurance.
Rainfall varies dramatically across the island. The central mountainous region is home to a tropical rainforest and receives significantly more rain than the northwest coast, where Cap Maison is located. This means villa owners enjoy a drier, sunnier microclimate, perfect for beach days, al fresco dining, and year-round enjoyment.
