3 Reasons Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Should Honeymoon in Saint Lucia

One of the biggest questions surrounding the May wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is where the two soon-to-be-newlyweds will honeymoon. As the royal couple is known for their love of travel and experiencing different cultures, we in Saint Lucia think the island is an excellent choice for a romantic and culturally-immersive getaway.

Here’s three reasons why we think Saint Lucia should top their list.

Harry’s Recent Visit

On an official commonwealth visit in November 2016, Prince Harry toured our historic harbor capital of Castries, participated in an exhibition cricket match, learned about conservation projects on Pigeon Island and ended his tour by taking in a traditional Saint Lucian street festival in Soufriere.  His visit was an exciting time for the island, as he unveiled a dedication to The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy Project, and official photos show he enjoyed himself while taking in the views and trying local cuisine.

Shall he return for a more relaxing escape, he and Meghan could enjoy a tropical hike or sunset cruise past the Pitons, or re-discover the spots he visited together. Options are endless, as there’s so much more to explore in Saint Lucia.

Luxury Accommodations

On the northern end of the island on a secluded cliffside, Cap Maison offers privacy and the ultimate in luxury for the well-traveled guest. The two could enjoy a week in the private grounds of Saman House, toasting to their nuptials with Cap Maison’s own cask aged rum or a selection 2,000 wines and spirits in our onsite wine cellar, and enjoying Creole-fusion cuisine from our award-winning Executive Chef Craig Jones.

Celebrity Friendly

Not only has “The Bachelor” chosen Cap Maison for filming during two seasons, it’s also a popular spot for both UK and US celebs alike, including Vanessa Williams and Anna Friel. The allure of a secluded beach and intimate accommodations makes our slice of paradise in Saint Lucia an attractive honeymoon and vacation choice for those looking to escape the spotlight.
